Trainways by Ava Bird

new york city

ways of paths of worker bees, strangers, love, alcoholics

lotsa types

here we are in nyc

the city that….

wow, its crazy out here

with all the pd, so many police

and chiefs

still no security

its time to rise

time to grow

into new beginnings

and old fashioned endings

the beauty of so much time gone by

yet here we still are together

forever inclined with the thought of heaven transcending

dentist and doctor can’t help me

teachers can’t teach me

im in my own world for the better

like we should have more

and farms in backyards

and spaces between soils

water the plants please

yes you

are the one we are waiting for

we are the now

here we are

been there before

done that

but now

never been to some

but im still here

how about now?

Is it better?

More bright spots and crystals and flowers

im planting seeds

I am given thanks for giving

everyday is thanksgiving

im just praying

to anyone out there listening

for some direction and light guidance

no religions

just being

just being the one sending

the one sending healing

and lights

that’s just me

sometime though I can be in darkness

who cares

its not scary

it’s a chance

to sleep

ah it’s a chance to say

ah, I can get out of here fast

get up and run

and really start driving

driving out the beasts

the monsters

the demons of the past

like orange cones

driving around

now in rear views

side mirrors behind

looking beyond

beyond the past

looking out

out the windows

and into the soul

of right now.
