into the lake. Yesterday, I fell asleep on the dock listening to hiccupping waves and rustling
cottonwood leaves after watching shafts of light cut through the water, sifting memories to the

BIO: Whitney (Walters) Jacobson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth and an Assistant Editor of Split Rock Review. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
