Postcards: Hibiscus Coast, Queensland

A thousand miles to reach the sea. On the beach
a young Wiri couple. From high in a palm he
throws down the goods. They gift me a coconut
— a heavy present. In the rainforest palm
fronds and bark tales — a passionfruit falls,
splits, ripe for the eating.
