Dear Mom,
After experiencing the immense sadness of the Memorial Museum, we visited the Cenotaph and its eternal flame. Japanese schoolchildren approached us with interest, adorable in practicing their English: “Hello. How are you? Where are you from? What is your favorite food from Japan?” Such forgiveness is incredible.
