I’d never had a snowball fight in August before, but Jungfraujoch provided the arsenal
and a blanket of late summer sun. We laughed and dodged friendly missiles, sliding down snowy banks to avoid the onslaught. Like any war, it came at a cost – a night in bed with sunstroke.

BIO: Stephen Ground’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including Temenos Journal, Typishly, Flumes, and forthcoming from Dark Ink and The Sunlight Press.
