Postcards: Lincoln, Nebraska

The bars and cold-weather walks to other bars part of Lincoln. Tyler tries keeping up, but he rarely drinks and I never travel without my habits. I send this picture, the “friends who know we won’t be together like this again” picture and think “my girlfriend would like it here.”

Timothy Tarkelly has been published by Wild Rose Press, Undead Press, Fourth & Sycamore, and more. When he is not writing, he works for a non-profit that serves survivors of domestic and sexual violence in western Kansas.
