Wanderlust Anew

Hello. I’m Rachel. The new editor. As Sarah announced on her podcast she has passed the torch. I saw her post about looking for someone to take over this site and my immediate thought was Oh I really want to do that, please pick me. And she did! I have a steep learning curve ahead, but I am excited about this prospect. I hope you will be gentle with me. I am a writer and a teacher and now, an editor. I don’t travel like Sarah does. But I am a big believer in how place shapes who we are and who we hope to become. Much of my work is about where I have lived and its impact on me.

I had a very a special piece I wrote featured in Wanderlust-Journal last year, so I am re-upping it to familiarize you with who I am. Thank you for checking it out. https://wanderlust-journal.com/2022/01/11/how-to-run-away-when-you-are-pushing-fifty/

And if you’d like to read more of my work it is here at http://www.rachelzschinderman.com.

Thank you for checking it out. And keep an eye out for more work to be published regularly. Thank you for your patience as I have been bit quiet, but I am here now and happy to be so.

I would love to hear your stories and I will have a call for submissions shortly. Thank you.

  2. Rachel,

Welcome on board! I’m a contributor (Million Mile Walker).

My review on Facing the Congo was published on Wanderlust and before that several articles including “Expats,” focused on Guatemala.

I look forward to your call for submissions. I’m working on a piece on the Chaco Canyon in New Mexico.

    Cheers,
